da Vinci® S HD™ Surgical System
If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with prostate cancer or another urological condition that may require surgery, you’ll want to learn all your options, including the most effective, least invasive surgical treatments available.
Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network is home to the latest in robotic surgery technology. Called the da Vinci® S HD™ Surgical System, it allows your surgeon to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures through very small incisions with unmatched precision. The da Vinci system cannot be programmed, nor can it make decisions on its own. Every surgical maneuver is performed with direct input from your surgeon. The system has been successfully used in tens of thousands of minimally invasive procedures worldwide.
Treats these conditions:
-
Partial/total nephrectomy (removal of a kidney or section of a kidney)

-
Adrenalectomy (removal of one or both adrenal glands)
-
Ureteropelvic junction repair (removal of an obstruction which causes urine to back up into the kidney)
-
Ureteral reimplantation (correction of vesicoureteral reflux where urine backs up from the bladder into the ureters and sometimes the kidneys)
-
Resection of bladder diverticulum (removal of sac or pouch inside the bladder walls)
